Terms of Service
These terms of service have been prepared by Pinstorm Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Lintas Media Group, and Idea Cellular Ltd., in order to protect the rights and privacy of the users of this website MyIdea.co.in, to ensure adherence to the laws of the land, and to prevent abuse of this website.Conditions of Participation
There is no entry fee.
An 'idea' is defined as any text entered in the 'My Idea' box of the registration form. Multiple 'ideas' are permitted. However, making multiple submissions of what is essentially the same entry will be treated as spamming, and our reviewers may delete all entries.
While we cannot ink your finger while you vote, please do vote for one idea just once. There are so many ideas that deserve your vote, why waste them all one idea? In any case, only your first vote for any idea will be registered as a valid vote.
Therefore, before you submit, please re-read and edit your 'idea'. If you discover an error only after you get your acknowledgement email and resubmit the corrected 'idea', it is liable to be treated as spam. We shall not entertain communication asking us to edit your 'idea' in the database.
Your 'idea' must be restricted to 1500 characters (which might fit in some 150 words). So please write it concise and to the point. All communication to the site administrators asking for an increase in character limit will be ignored. If persistent calls are made, the 'idea' and its companion information may be deleted and you may be barred from posting any further.
Anyone, anywhere, can post an idea, or vote for an 'idea'. Note, however, that you must be present in India if your idea garners the maximum votes and you are invited to share it on TV.
Your take the responsibility that your 'idea' is your own original work and previously unpublished anywhere, in print or online. If we receive legitimate complaints that your 'idea' has been copied or plagiarised from someone else's 'idea', posted earlier on MyIdea.co.in or elsewhere, we shall summarily remove it, without having to inform you.
Publication implies that there was some form of editorial or jury selection and/or payment involved. An 'idea' that you have posted earlier on your personal blog or an unmoderated forum is permissible, but something that won you a prize somewhere is not. Something that may have been selected to be printed in a book, newspaper, magazine or website will be considered as published, whether you got paid for it or not.
Editorial Policy
Prepare your 'idea' statement carefully. Hundreds or thousands or even more people will read your 'idea' at this site and vote for/against it, so before you submit, please do take the time to get it right. Spell-checking is a bare minimum! We recommend using word processing software to prepare the text of your 'idea' statement (which you can then copy and paste into the form when it is all ready). Poorly worded 'ideas' with bad spelling and grammatical errors will be an embarrassment to you, the author, and might result in more NO votes than YES!Once your 'idea' has been created, it cannot be edited. This is in the interest of the voters: consider for a moment how would you feel if someone could change the 'idea' after you had voted on it!
When you approve the review and actually submit your 'idea', our staff will automatically be notified of your submission and will act to review it soon. In most cases your 'idea' should pass the review, but it does help to keep the following in mind:-
1. Your 'idea' cannot contain offensive or inappropriate language. This also applies to misspellings or other variations of inappropriate language.
2. Your 'idea' cannot be an advertisement for a product/service masquerading as an 'idea'.
3. Your 'idea' may not imply an affiliation, partnership, or any special relationship with Idea Cellular.
4. Your 'idea' should not contain trademarked words or phrases, unless they are commonly used as generic words (such as Xerox), or you have explicit permission to use them. Your 'idea' cannot infringe any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright or other proprietary rights ("Rights") of any party.
5. Your 'idea' should contain any content that you do not have a right to transmit under any law or under contractual or fiduciary relationships (such as inside information, proprietary and confidential information learned or disclosed as part of employment relationships or under nondisclosure agreements);
6. This is not the place for launching personal attacks on anyone. Don't promote violence or advocacy against any person or group of persons. 'Ideas' advocating violence, discrimination, social boycott or persecution against any organisation, person, or group of people are not permitted. A group of people may be distinguished by their race, ethnic origin, color, sex, age, nation of origin, religion, sect, language, disability, caste, sexual orientation, gender identity, political affiliation, the organisation they work in, or state of origin.
7. Be considerate to minors. Any 'idea' deemed by our moderators to hurt or harm minors in any way will be removed.
8. Be decent. Any content that is deemed harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, tortious, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, libelous, invasive of another's privacy, hateful, or racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable or contrary to public interest, public order or national harmony in all relevant jurisdictions will be summarily removed without any liability to you.
9. 'Ideas' promoting violation of the Constitution of India or State and/or Union laws of India or of any other country are not permitted. 'ideas' that call for the repeal or amendment of perceived unfair laws by peaceful means may, however, be permitted.
10. Do not submit 'ideas' promoting violation of the Declaration of Human Rights or any international treaties, pacts or agreements. 'ideas' that call for the abrogation, renegotiation or non-ratification of perceived unfair treaties by peaceful means may, however, be permitted.
11. Do not submit 'ideas' promoting your own, or any other person's candidacy to any government or private office. You may not use this forum to promote the interests of any contestant on a reality show or any other contest.
12. 'Ideas' promoting prostitution, pornography, drug abuse, crime or paedophilia will be removed.
13. Do not post any material that contains software viruses or any other computer code, files or programs designed to interrupt, destroy or limit the functionality of any computer software or hardware or telecommunications equipment.
Any 'idea' that violates one or more of these guidelines will be summarily removed, without informing the author. Apart from that, Pinstorm Techhnologies Pvt. Ltd., Idea Cellular Ltd. and Lintas Media Group retain the full and unfettered right to remove any post we deem fit for removal, even if it does comply with our editorial policy. Reasons for doing so may or may not be disclosed by us. No emails, letters, faxes or phone calls will be entertained in this regard.
Violations of editorial policy may be further prosecuted by barring the offender from any use of the site, and/or appropriate legal action if necessary.
Registration Obligations
When you register your personal details, Pinstorm assumes that you are providing true, accurate, current and complete information about yourself. If Pinstorm suspects (on reasonable grounds) or finds out that any information provided by you is untrue, inaccurate, not current or incomplete, Pinstorm reserves the right to refuse any and all current or future use of the website without any liability to you.We provide you with access to some parts of the website without asking you to register. In that case, your identification is based on other means of identification that we deem appropriate. In appropriate cases, identification may be based on data identifying your mobile telephone or communications subscription number provided by your network operator. You agree that such information may be collected and disclosed to us and used in accordance with the Terms of Service.
Obligations of Conduct and Indemnity
Your participation in this website is assumed to be with good faith and intentions, as a responsible citizen of India. We expect you to not:1. interfere with or disrupt the service or servers or networks connected to the website, or disobey any requirements, procedures, policies or regulations of networks connected to the service.
2. intentionally or unintentionally violate any applicable local, state, national or international law including, but not limited to, regulations having the force of law, as well as rulings of all courts and tribunals of India.
3. "stalk" or otherwise harass another user.

The internet is global in nature, and hence you must agree to comply with all applicable laws statutes, regulations, rules and codes regarding online conduct and acceptable content.
You must agree not to reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell or exploit for any commercial purposes, any portion of the website, use of the website, or access to the website.
We may bar you from posting 'ideas' and voting, and may even initiate legal action in case you are found to be in violation of our terms of service.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold Pinstorm Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Lintas Media Group, and Idea Cellular Ltd., and their employees, harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable legal fees, made by any third party due to or arising out of the 'idea'/vote you submit, your use of the website, your connection to the website, your violation of the TOS, or your violation of any rights of any other person, or your breach of any applicable law.Privacy Policies

When you vote for an 'idea' we ask for information such as your name and email id. When you post an 'idea' we ask for information such as your 'idea', its title, category, your name your email id, your mobile and landline numbers, and city of residence. The information you provide will be used by 'idea' Cellular to contact you if your 'idea' garners maximum votes and is eligible for being discussed on a TV channel, and for no other reason unless deemed fit by Idea Cellular Ltd. Pinstorm Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Lintas Media Group, and Idea Cellular Ltd. will never share your personal information with a third party, unless required by law (see below).
When you invite people to vote upon your 'idea' through the MyIdea.co.in website, we collect and maintain information associated with those messages, including email addresses and content. We will not use this information for spamming or sending unsolicited mails to them. Pinstorm Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Lintas Media Group, and Idea Cellular Ltd. will never share your personal information with a third party, unless required by law (see below).

We will use the email address(es) provided by you to keep you updated about the progress of your 'idea' every week, and also to inform you of any developments on the site MyIdea.co.in. Specific email addresses may be communicated to outside parties as we deem fit, in actions aiming to stop abuse of this forum.

This site makes online 'ideas' available to its users. Please remember that any information that is disclosed in the name, category, title and my 'idea' fields becomes public information and you should exercise caution when deciding to disclose your personal information. Pinstorm Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Lintas Media Group, and Idea Cellular Ltd. will not undertake any responsibility for private information disclosed in the above-mentioned fields. Your contact details (email addresses and telephone numbers) collected in the email and telephone number fields will not be disclosed, except under subpoena or other legal order.
Internet connection information about specific visitors, including IP numbers, may be communicated to outside parties as we deem necessary in actions to stop abuse of this forum.

Copyright and Intellectual Property Rights
Submissions will remain the intellectual property of the entrants. But by submitting an 'idea', you give Pinstorm Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Lintas Media Group, and Idea Cellular Ltd. the permission to use your 'idea', without acknowledgement or payment to you, in their websites, as part of Press Releases (where they may be reproduced by media organisations), and in any other material intended to promote MyIdea.co.in, including advertisements. The decisions of the organisers are final and binding, and no correspondence will be entertained regarding their decisions.Pinstorm respects the intellectual property of others, and we ask our users to do the same. You should assume that every 'idea' you see or read on the website is copyrighted/ protected by intellectual property laws unless otherwise noted and may not be used without prior and explicit permission from the person who submitted the 'idea'.
